In addition, he was a director of USA Hockey for 33 years, leaving a significant mark on the development of the sport in the United States.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F0804%2Fr1527714_702x395_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Robert Fleming\" title=\"\"><figcaption>Robert Fleming<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\nHis dedication to hockey was recognized with the Lester Patrick Award on two occasions, once for his work with the 1980 team and again for his outstanding individual contribution to the sport.
