This event adds to a series of similar interruptions that have affected the WNBA in recent days, generating concern for the safety of the players and respect for the game.\n\nThe incident at the Crypto.com Arena occurred 2:05 minutes into the second quarter. The object, green in color, fell near Cunningham, who had previously expressed concern on social media about this type of action by fans.\n\nAfter the launch, Cunningham reacted with surprise and Kelsey Plum, from the Sparks, removed the object from the court.\n\n\n

I think it’s ridiculous, stupid. In New York, the object fell near a child.\n\nThe first incident was recorded the previous week in Atlanta, during the match between Dream and Golden State. Delbert Carver, allegedly responsible for the incident, was arrested and faces charges of disorderly conduct, indecent exposure, and trespassing.\n\nOn Friday, a sex toy was thrown in Chicago, interrupting the game between Golden State and Sky. An official removed the object from the court.\n\nIt is unknown whether the person responsible for the incident in Chicago was arrested.\n\nThe WNBA issued a statement emphasizing the priority of safety in its arenas. The league warned that any fan who throws objects onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year suspension, in addition to possible legal action.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Sex Toy Interrupts WNBA Game: Another Incident in the League An unusual incident shook the match between the Indiana Fever and the Los Angeles Sparks last Tuesday, when an object, apparently a sex toy, was thrown from the stands and landed near Indiana player Sophie Cunningham.
