Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut<\/h2>\n\n\nFormer WWE CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a traffic accident on a Connecticut highway, which resulted in significant damage to his Bentley and two other vehicles. The incident occurred Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway, Westport, according to state police reports. McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following another vehicle too closely.\n\nThe accident occurred hours before the news of the death of Hulk Hogan, a wrestling legend, whom McMahon had previously praised, was announced.\n\nAccording to the police report, there were no injuries in the incident. McMahon was released after posting a $500 bail and was ordered to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.\n\nThe photos taken by Barbara Doran, one of the people involved in the accident, revealed considerable damage to the front of McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which was towed from the scene. The images also showed damage to the rear of Doran’s BMW 430.\n\nThe police report details that McMahon was driving north on the highway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended the BMW and crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling in the opposite direction struck debris from the accident that flew over the guardrail.\n\nThe authorities confirmed that there were no passengers in any of the vehicles and that the three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon’s car airbags deployed, while Doran’s BMW’s did not.\n\n\n

The impact caused her car to leave the road.\n\n\n

\u201cI was in the right lane and, suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward, and you can see the skid marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road,\u201d Doran said.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nDoran explained that a state police officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he did not know. After the accident, they both talked.\n\n\n

\u201cHe just, you know, expressed his concern, was glad I was okay and all that. And I thanked him for his concern,\u201d said Doran, 72.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nMcMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022, amid a company investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. He also resigned as executive chairman of the TKO Group Holdings board of directors, WWE’s parent company, last year, a day after a former WWE employee filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is still pending.\n\nMcMahon acquired the then World Wrestling Federation in 1982, transforming it from a regional wrestling company into a global phenomenon.
