The incident, which involved his Bentley and two other vehicles, occurred last Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway in Westport.\n\nMcMahon was cited for reckless driving and following too closely. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the accident. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.\n\nThe accident occurred hours before the news of the death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, whom McMahon had praised, was announced.\n\nState police reported that McMahon was driving northbound when he rear-ended a BMW and then a wooden guardrail. A vehicle traveling in the opposite direction struck debris from the accident that flew over the barrier.\n\nAccording to the police report, there were no passengers in the vehicles and all three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon&#8217;s car airbags deployed, while those of the BMW did not.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a2.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F0730%2Fr1525703_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Vince McMahon&#039;s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed sustained heavy front-end damage from last week&#039;s multi-car highway crash in Connecticut.\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\nBarbara Doran, one of the drivers involved, recounted that she was driving in the right lane when she was hit by McMahon&#8217;s vehicle, causing her car to leave the road. Doran stated that a state police officer informed her that the other driver was McMahon.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I was driving in the right lane and suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward and you can see the skid marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road.<\/p><cite>Barbara Doran<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nMcMahon resigned from his position as WWE CEO in 2022, amid a company investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. He also stepped down as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE&#8217;s parent company, last year, a day after a former WWE employee filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is still pending.\n\nMcMahon acquired the then World Wrestling Federation in 1982, transforming it into a global phenomenon.
