The news was confirmed by his wife, who also reported that Friesen, fortunately, has no head, neck, or spine injuries.\n\nThe incident occurred on Monday night at the Super DIRTcar Series King of the North race, held at the Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, Quebec.\n\nAccording to Jessica Friesen&#8217;s social media post, her husband experienced &#8220;a tremendous amount of pain&#8221; after the crash.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Stewart has suffered an unstable\/open-book pelvic fracture, which means his pelvis is broken in two or more places, with a large hematoma in the area. Stewart also has a fracture in his right leg.<\/p><cite>Jessica Friesen<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nA scan revealed that there were no injuries to the head, neck, or spine.\n\nThe accident video shows Stewart Friesen&#8217;s truck hitting an outside wall, flipping in the air, and then catching fire. The vehicle landed hard on the track and was hit by another truck before coming to a stop on its wheels.\n\nJessica Friesen thanked the track team for their patience and care in removing her husband from the vehicle.\n\nStewart Friesen is expected to be transferred to a hospital in New York on Wednesday, where he will undergo multiple surgeries, according to Jessica Friesen in an update on Tuesday.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We want to thank everyone here at the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, Quebec hospital for the excellent care, and several members of the racing community who have helped make Stewart closer to home.
