There is also the possibility of a captain&#8217;s pick, although Woods, ranked 20th in the latest American Junior Golf Association rankings, seems unlikely to be chosen.\n\nWoods has never participated in this event.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It was a lot of fun. But nine birdies is pretty good. A couple of three putts, I made some mistakes today, but overall a pretty solid round. Good position heading into tomorrow.<\/p><cite>Charlie Woods<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nStudent at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Florida, Woods won the AJGA&#8217;s Team TaylorMade Invitational in May. He missed the cut at the recent U.S. Junior Amateur and has not yet confirmed his college commitment.\n\nLunden Esterline leads the Junior PGA with 19 under par, after a third round of 66. Esterline, from Andover, Kansas, is committed to Auburn for 2027.\n\nPennson Badgett is tied with Woods for second place after a round of 67 on Thursday.
