Candace Parker Questions WNBA All-Star Game Performance<\/h2>\n\nThe seven-time WNBA All-Star, Candace Parker, expressed her discontent with the performance shown in this year’s All-Star Game.\n\nParker, in a recent appearance on a podcast, called the meeting “horrible”.\n\n\n

Y’all can’t wear those ‘Pay us what you owe us’ shirts and then do that.<\/p>Candace Parker<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nParker was referring to the warm-up shirts that both teams wore on July 19th, in response to the failed negotiations over the collective bargaining agreement with the league, which took place that same week. The players are seeking better salaries and benefits, among other improvements.\n\nThe game set a record in the WNBA All-Star Game for points scored, and Napheesa Collier set an individual record with 36 points. Team Collier defeated Team Clark with a score of 151-131.\n\nThe defense was conspicuous by its absence, as the league’s stars allowed their opponents to take unopposed shots.\n\nAlthough the situation is no different from that of other all-star games in other professional leagues, Parker expected more from the WNBA players, especially at a time when they are under the spotlight.\n\n\n
