I&#8217;ve decided that this is the best time to make this decision and give myself time to prepare for next season.&#8221;<\/p><cite>Louis Rees-Zammit<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;I only have one thing on my mind, which is to return to rugby and do what I do best. I can&#8217;t explain how excited I am!&#8221;<\/p><cite>Louis Rees-Zammit<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nAlthough he didn&#8217;t offer more details, Rees-Zammit promised more news soon.\n\nThe 24-year-old player signed with the Kansas City Chiefs at the end of March 2024 as part of the International Player Pathway program, designed to give opportunities to athletes from all over the world in the NFL.\n\nThe Chiefs used Rees-Zammit, who ran the 40 yards in 4.43 seconds on a testing day at the University of South Florida, as a running back. He played in all three preseason games, with six carries for 22 yards.\n\nThe Chiefs released him on August 27th during the final roster cuts, and the Jaguars signed him the next day.
