Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut<\/h2>\n\n\nFormer WWE CEO Vince McMahon is in the spotlight following a car accident on a Connecticut highway, where his Bentley suffered significant damage and two other vehicles were affected.\n\nThe accident took place on Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway in Westport. McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following another vehicle too closely, according to a state police report. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.\n\nMcMahon was released after posting a $500 bail and was ordered to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.\n\nMcMahon’s representatives have not issued any statements regarding the matter.\n\nThe photographs of the accident scene, taken by Barbara Doran, one of the people involved, reveal the considerable damage to the front of McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed and to the rear of his BMW 430.\n\nThe police report indicates that McMahon was driving north on the highway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended the BMW and crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling south hit the wreckage that flew over the barrier.\n\nAccording to the authorities, there were no passengers in any of the vehicles and the three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon’s car airbags deployed, but not Doran’s BMW.\n\n\n

I was in the right lane and suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward and you can see the tire marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road.<\/p>\n\nBarbara Doran<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nDoran commented that a state police officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he did not know well. Both talked after the accident.\n\n\n

And I thanked her for her concern.<\/p>\n\nBarbara Doran<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nMcMahon resigned from his position as WWE CEO in 2022, amid an internal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. Last year, he also stepped down as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, one day after a former WWE employee filed a sexual assault lawsuit against him. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is ongoing.\n\nMcMahon acquired the then World Wrestling Federation in 1982, transforming it from a regional wrestling company into a global phenomenon.
