Sanders completed a play limping on one leg, trying to avoid putting weight on his right leg.\n\nThe Broncos&#8217; medical staff evaluated Sanders on the sideline before he was carted to the locker room.\n\nSubsequently, Sanders, who missed most of last season, underwent an MRI (MRI).\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Broncos coach Sean Payton reported that he had no details about the severity of the injury, but confirmed that it was not his Achilles tendon.<\/p><cite>Sean Payton<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nSanders, selected in the third round of the 2023 draft, was limited to playing only the last four games of the 2024 regular season, in addition to the playoff loss against the Buffalo Bills.\n\nThe Broncos&#8217; defensive coordinator, Vance Joseph, has consistently praised Sanders&#8217; athleticism and expressed optimism about the impact he could have as a situational player at the inside linebacker position and as a pass rusher during the offseason.\n\nIn recent practices, Sanders has been acting as a substitute at the inside linebacker position, while Alex Singleton recovers from an ACL injury suffered in Week 3 of last year and Dre Greenlaw missed the Broncos&#8217; offseason program due to a hamstring injury.\n\nAdditionally, right tackle Mike McGlinchey missed his third consecutive practice.
