JJ is back.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Sandy Brondello, Coach<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nJones, who was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the WNBA Finals last season, returned to play in the Liberty&#8217;s 98-84 victory over the Fever on Tuesday night. This was her first appearance since June 19, due to an ankle injury.\n\nJones led the team with 18 points in his return. &#8220;It felt great to be back,&#8221; Jones stated after the game. &#8220;Obviously, it&#8217;s been a while since I was on the court, but my teammates have kept the level up while I was out, and everyone was excited for me to return. And I was just as excited.&#8221;\n\nThis season, Jones, the Liberty&#8217;s third-highest scorer, has averaged 12.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, with 43.8% effectiveness from the three-point line. Jones&#8217; absence was felt on the team, which had a 5-4 record after starting the season 9-0.
