These strategic moves aim to bolster both the pitching staff and the defensive and offensive depth of the Aguilucho team ahead of the upcoming Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) tournament.

Ryan Hendrix: Power for the bullpen

Ryan Hendrix, 31, joins the team with significant experience following his time in the Major Leagues with the Cincinnati Reds between 2021 and 2022. The pitcher has demonstrated his ability to dominate in Mexican baseball, standing out for his performance with the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos and the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna.

3.32 effectiveness with 41 strikeouts during his time with the Tecolotes.

Ability to reach 98 miles per hour with his four-seam fastball.

A high-spin curveball that promises to be a key tool in high-pressure situations for the yellow bullpen.

Carson Williams: Youth and versatility

The Santiago organization is also betting on young talent with the arrival of Carson Williams, a 23-year-old shortstop selected in the first round of the 2021 Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays. Williams has seen action in the Major Leagues during the 2025 and 2026 seasons, establishing himself as an impact prospect.

Williams’ arrival brings not only security to the infield, but also an offensive dynamic capable of combining occasional power with a notable ability to steal bases, after recording 23 stolen bases in his recent stint in Triple-A.

A team in constant evolution

These signings add to the work structure that the Águilas’ management has been developing. The core of imports for the upcoming campaign already features figures such as J. C. Escarra, Raynel Delgado, Oscar Rayo, Víctor Scott II, Dylan File, Carl Edwards Jr., and Mason McCoy.
