Tigres del Licey manager, Gilbert Gómez, cleared up doubts regarding the absence of captain Emilio Bonifacio from the starting lineup during the opening game against the Leones del Escogido. The blue strategist emphasized that this decision is part of a rotation strategy designed to maximize the depth of the roster and keep the entire team in a competitive rhythm.

Despite not starting the game that ended in a resounding 12-2 victory for the felines, Gómez reiterated that Bonifacio remains a fundamental piece within the organization. We are counting on Emilio being part of us and we are going to be mixing him in and he is going to see action. What we are looking for is to mix everyone in. Emilio is part of our group, part of that crew.
Gilbert Gómez, manager of the Tigres del Licey
