A 17-year-old teenager has been placed at the disposal of the Children and Adolescents Court of Santiago, after being identified as the alleged perpetrator of the death of the renowned musician and typical music composer, Juan de Jes\u00fas Torres Torres, popularly known as “Ranfis Torres” or the “President of Merengue”.<\/p>\n\n
The body of the 79-year-old veteran artist was found lifeless on April 17 in the La Quebradita sector, an event that caused great consternation in the region’s cultural sphere due to the deceased’s distinguished career.<\/p>\n\n
According to the official report from the National Police, the capture of the minor was achieved through the execution of a judicial warrant. The operation was carried out by agents of the Division of Investigation of Crimes and Offenses against Persons, who worked in conjunction with the Public Prosecutor’s Office to clarify the facts.<\/p>\n\n
Preliminary investigations suggest that the young man had entered the musician’s residence with the goal of stealing valuables. Among the identified belongings is a cell phone owned by the victim, which was recovered by authorities during a raid conducted as part of the evidence collection process.<\/p>\n\n
