Despite the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and the various digital alternatives for information consumption, the interest in physical books remains a palpable reality among children and young people. This was confirmed by Aleida de Gracia, head of Literary Fairs and Meetings at the Ministry of Culture of Panama, during her participation in the twenty-eighth International Book Fair.<\/p>\n\n
De Gracia, who heads the delegation of the guest country of honor at this cultural event, highlighted that the attendance of new generations at literary spaces is a clear sign that reading has not lost its place in today’s society. The Panamanian official emphasized that, although technology imposes new challenges, the curiosity of young people for the printed format remains intact.<\/p>\n\n
