The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, led the delivery of 224 new apartments corresponding to the second stage of the Laderas del Este housing project, located in the municipality of San Antonio de Guerra. This initiative marks a significant step in reducing the housing deficit in the country, consolidating the government’s commitment to facilitating access to decent homes for Dominican families.<\/p>\n\n
The acquisition of 197 of these units was made possible thanks to the financial backing of the Banco de Reservas, an entity that allocated more than RD$466 million for mortgage loans. During the event, the president highlighted the importance of strategic alliances between the banking sector, real estate developers, and the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVHED) to democratize access to housing.<\/p>\n\n
For his part, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, Executive President of Banreservas, highlighted that the entity not only finances the final purchase, but also granted interim financing of RD$900 million to ensure the construction of the project. According to the executive, this investment boosts the entire value chain of the construction sector.<\/p>\n\n

Aguilera emphasized that economic growth must translate into tangible well-being for the citizenry.
