The sports landscape in the Dominican Republic is preparing for an unprecedented event. Producciones Diamante Deportivo has announced the organization of a formal debate between the candidates for the presidency of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD), ahead of the elections that will take place on December 2nd.

The meeting will feature the participation of the four candidates seeking to lead the Olympic body: Gilberto García, Garibaldy Bautista, Luis Chanlatte, and José Mera. The main objective of this democratic exercise is for the work plans and visions of each candidate to be presented to the country, going beyond the exclusive scope of the sports federations.

We have already spoken with the four candidates for the presidency of the COD. We will make history; it will be something novel. It is always good for the different candidates to be able to show their proposals to the public, and for not only the federations to know their plans, but also for the country to be able to learn more about the Olympic Committee.

Diamante Deportivo Executives
