The case began following the formal complaint filed by the victim’s father with the Gender and Intrafamily Violence Unit of the Azua Prosecutor’s Office. During the hearing, prosecutor Nelia Melo Mej\u00eda argued that the accused lacks the necessary ties to receive a less burdensome coercive measure than prison, underscoring the gravity of the facts.<\/p>\n\n
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on August 22. It is alleged that M\u00e9ndez Guerrero took advantage of the trust he had with the minor’s family and the fact that she was unsupervised in the yard of her residence to perpetrate the abuse.<\/p>\n\n
