Since its founding on September 19, 1961, the institution has evolved from being a humanitarian aid entity into a fundamental pillar in strengthening communities, promoting solutions that foster autonomy and human dignity.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impact and results: More than just numbers, life stories<\/h2>\n\n<p>Under the motto &#8220;Love, service and commitment&#8221;, the organization reaches this anniversary presenting tangible results obtained during the year 2026. Its management has managed to transcend immediate aid, focusing on sustainable development. Among the most notable achievements are:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>More than 700 families directly impacted.<\/li><li>Active presence in 63 communities nationwide.<\/li><li>Implementation of more than 75 community gardens to ensure food security.<\/li><li>Delivery of more than 300 animals to promote family livelihood.<\/li><li>Operation of more than 25 community pharmacies.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p>For Juan Manuel D\u00edaz, director of C\u00e1ritas Dominicana, each of these indicators reflects an opportunity to transform lives. &#8220;These 65 years remind us that serving, more than responding to an immediate need, means accompanying people and walking alongside communities so they can build a future with greater opportunities,&#8221; the executive noted.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>That little garden has helped me a lot, because now I have chili peppers, tomatoes, and other products in my own home. I spend less and I have learned to plant for my own sustenance.<\/p><cite>Antonia Garc\u00eda, beneficiary of the food security project in Dajab\u00f3n.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solidarity without borders<\/h2>\n\n<p>The work of Caritas is not limited to the Dominican territory. The organization has extended its vocation of solidarity to other nations in the region, providing responses to climate disasters and earthquakes in countries such as Jamaica, Cuba, and Venezuela, consolidating its international support network.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Future projects and celebrations<\/h2>\n\n<p>Looking to the future, the institution has set out to strengthen its national network, expand strategic alliances, and deepen its presence in the various dioceses and parishes of the country.
