Teacher Basilio Bertr\u00e1n has raised his voice to question the current administration of the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) in this district, pointing directly at the president of the local branch, Hamilton Gregorio P\u00e9rez, for his alleged authoritarian management and lack of transparency in the handling of institutional funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The differences became evident after the recent Teachers&#8217; Assembly held last Friday, September 18. According to Bertr\u00e1n, the meeting was marked by a hostile environment, where educators who dared to dissent from the official line were the target of disqualifications and offensive epithets by the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dispute over the protest plan and its educational impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The conflict is intensifying due to a struggle plan approved by the ADP in Peralvillo, which includes drastic measures that, according to Bertr\u00e1n, directly harm the student community. Among the scheduled actions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduction of the school day: students will only receive instruction until after lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.<\/li>\n<li>Work-to-rule strike on Fridays.<\/li>\n<li>Candlelight vigil scheduled for Monday, September 28th, at the Peralvillo Roundabout.<\/li>\n<li>Total rejection of supervisory visits from district, regional, and national technicians.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the teacher, these pressure tactics affect the quality of teaching and learning, compromising the academic future of students in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accountability requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond the protests, Bertr\u00e1n is demanding an internal audit and clear explanations regarding the destination of the resources received by the branch.
