The National Association of Gasoline Retailers (Anadegas) has reported that users will be able to continue using their credit and debit cards at all service stations in the country. This measure remains in effect as of this September 25th, after a consensus was reached that allows for the suspension of the strike call that was scheduled for this Friday.<\/p>\n\n
The decision was made after noting the significant progress in the dialogue tables being held with the national banking sector, under the mediation of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM). The main objective of these conversations is to find an equitable solution to the retailers’ concerns regarding the commissions imposed by financial service providers.<\/p>\n\n
The Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Yayo Sanz Lovat\u00f3n, underscored the Dominican State’s commitment to guaranteeing stability in the fuel market. According to the official, the government maintains its focus on reaching agreements that allow the involved actors to operate under viable conditions, without affecting the quality of service received by citizens.<\/p>\n\n
