With a projected expenditure amounting to RD$2,036,844.2 million, the central administration reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the country&#8217;s infrastructure, health, education, and institutional framework.<\/p>\n\n<p>The details of this piece of legislation were presented by the Minister of the Presidency, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza, accompanied by the heads of Finance and Economy, Mag\u00edn D\u00edaz, and the General Director of Budget, Jos\u00e9 Rijo Presbot, who highlighted that the planning seeks to improve the quality of life of Dominicans through efficient management of public resources.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The 2027 Budget reaffirms the Government&#8217;s decision to prioritize investments that contribute to development and generate better living conditions for our people.<\/p><cite>Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Economic resilience and strategic pillars<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Minister of Finance and Economy, Mag\u00edn D\u00edaz, emphasized that the proposal was developed on a solid macroeconomic foundation, characterized by an estimated GDP growth of 4.75% and controlled inflation. As he explained, the budgetary strategy prioritizes capital expenditure over current expenditure, ensuring a reasonable fiscal deficit and greater execution capacity in strategic projects.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Education:<\/strong> A 4% GDP commitment is guaranteed, focused on the 2034 Decennial Plan and the expansion of school transportation.<\/li><li><strong>Health:<\/strong> Continuity in the completion of strategic hospitals and strengthening of Primary Care Units.<\/li><li><strong>Infrastructure:<\/strong> Promotion of key works such as the Santiago Monorail, the expansion of Line 2 of the Santo Domingo Metro, and sanitation projects.<\/li><li><strong>Security:<\/strong> Budgetary reinforcement for the Judiciary, border security, and the penitentiary system.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>For his part, the Budget Director, Jos\u00e9 Rijo Presbot, highlighted that capital expenditure will see an increase of 19.7% compared to the 2026 budget, which demonstrates a clear focus on long-term investment and the operational efficiency of the public sector.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">National Land Use Planning Plan<\/h2>\n\n<p>In addition to the budget item, the Council of Ministers reviewed the preliminary draft of the National Land Use Planning Law.
