The decision was made after an exhaustive review of the files, which resulted in the exclusion of two of the 90 applicants who had initially registered for the process.<\/p>\n\n<p>This advancement in the selection schedule took place during the session held this Thursday, September 17, 2026, which was led by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Pe\u00f1a. According to the data provided by the organization, the process of receiving applications was dynamic, receiving 367 proposals that consolidated a group of 65 candidates, of which 58 formalized their registration. In total, the final registry reached 90 applicants, composed of 38 women and 52 men.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transparency and citizen participation<\/h2>\n\n<p>The CNM has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and order, keeping its official portal updated with the sections for registered and preselected candidates. In line with this purpose, a fundamental stage for public oversight has been opened:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Starting this Friday, September 18, a three-business-day period begins.<\/li><li>During this period, citizens may formally submit objections or concerns against any of the 88 preselected candidates.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The National Council of the Magistracy reiterates its commitment to continue developing the process in an orderly, transparent manner and in strict compliance with current regulatory provisions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>The selection process, which is closely followed by Alofoke Deportes, is heading towards its final phase under a provisional work schedule that has an October 23, 2026 deadline.
