The latter are specifically designed to recognize high academic performance and outstanding talent in various disciplines.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transparency and academic merit<\/h3>\n\n<p>Rafael Santos Bad\u00eda, head of MESCyT, emphasized that the allocation of these scholarships is based exclusively on the individual merits of the young people. The process has been designed to eliminate any type of external influence, dispensing with letters of recommendation or arrangements through political, religious, or institutional intermediaries.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">Excellence scholarships are awarded for the effort and merits of each young person. The State already has the data of the beneficiaries and the award letters will be delivered to their families.<\/p>\n<cite>Rafael Santos Bad\u00eda, Minister of MESCyT<\/cite>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic coordination between ministries<\/h3>\n\n<p>The handover ceremony, led by Vice President Raquel Pe\u00f1a and Minister of Education Luis Miguel De Camps, marked a milestone in public administration. For the first time, the Ministry of Education and MESCyT have worked in a coordinated manner to identify the most outstanding students from high school, allowing them an immediate transition to university in the same year of their graduation.<\/p>\n\n<p>In this selection process, 948 high school graduates with outstanding profiles in key areas were identified, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic, Robotics, and STEM Olympiads.<\/li>\n<li>High Intellectual Abilities and National Tests.<\/li>\n<li>Student Merit and Leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Arts and Sports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>High school graduates who achieved outstanding averages of 95 points or more joined this group, reinforcing the Government&#8217;s commitment to young talent, regardless of the province of origin or the socioeconomic conditions of the students.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Priority areas for national development<\/h3>\n\n<p>The scholarships are aimed at boosting strategic careers for the country&#8217;s growth, such as science, technology, mathematics, physics, agronomy, and the orange economy.
