The mayor of Santo Domingo Norte, Betty Ger\u00f3nimo, formally inaugurated the first municipal Sports Games, an event that seeks to transform the athletic landscape of the municipality. This initiative, which will run until September 27th, has the fundamental purpose of strengthening community integration, promoting discipline, and providing a space for development for local youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening ceremony, held at the El CROM Multipurpose Center, was attended by prominent figures of national sports, including the star members of The Queens of the Caribbean, Yonkaira Pe\u00f1a and Aliana S\u00e1nchez, who served as an inspiration for the hundreds of athletes present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nWhen we arrived at the Mayor’s Office, we found that sports and young people had been forgotten, and our administration has taken them into account. Competition disciplines and venues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The games encompass diverse disciplines that will be contested simultaneously in multiple facilities throughout the municipality to ensure broad participation of athletes from Villa Mella, Sabana Perdida, Los Guaricanos, and La Victoria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Basketball:<\/strong> Guaricanos Multipurpose Court.<\/li>
- Baseball:<\/strong> Los Cleto, La S\u00e1nchez, and Carbu fields.<\/li>
- Softball:<\/strong> Buena Vista Primera, El Mamey, Licey-La Esperanza, and Jacagua-Hig\u00fcero stadiums.<\/li>
- Volleyball:<\/strong> Lotes y Servicios (Sabana Norte), Club V\u00edctor Burgos (Sabana Sur), and El CROM indoor courts.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
