Despite recent criminal acts recorded in Santiago, which have even involved members of the institution itself, the president assured that the strengthening of the law enforcement body will not stop.<\/p>\n\n<p>During his stay in the Heart City, where he has moved his presidential office to oversee strategic projects for the Cibao region, the head of state responded to concerns regarding the challenges facing citizen security. Abinader emphasized that the reform is a progressive process that is taking firm steps toward modernization.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pillars of police transformation<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Technical training and continuous educational development for agents.<\/li><li>Significant increase in patrolling and police presence on the streets.<\/li><li>Optimization of public security services.<\/li><li>Constant evaluation of the results obtained after the implementation of new policies.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We do not settle.
