According to official data, national exports reached the historic figure of US$10,563.2 million, which represents a year-on-year increase of 11.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n<p>This positive result translates into a surplus of US$1,084.0 million compared to the US$9,479.2 million achieved in 2025, consolidating itself as the highest value recorded for this period of time in the country&#8217;s economic history. Even when excluding the impact of raw gold, the exportable supply showed solid growth of 5.4%, evidencing greater diversification and competitiveness in global markets.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Growth drivers and key sectors<\/h2>\n\n<p>The dynamism of the sector has been driven by a combination of traditional and high value-added products. The main drivers of this progress include:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Raw gold:<\/strong> Reached US$2,019.2 million, with a year-on-year growth of 46.0%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tobacco:<\/strong> The stemmed tobacco segment experienced an impressive increase of 174.6%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medical and technical industry:<\/strong> Orthopedic appliances, surgical instruments, catheters, and medical devices stand out.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manufacturing:<\/strong> Growth in the export of electrical circuit breakers, iron or steel bars, and cigarettes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The dynamism recorded confirms the strength and potential of the Dominican exportable supply, as well as the capacity of our companies and productive sectors to take advantage of opportunities in international markets. It also ratifies our commitment to continue supporting our clients so that they export more and better.<\/p><cite>Vladimir Pimentel F., Executive Director of ProDominicana<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Performance by regimes and destinations<\/h2>\n\n<p>Free trade zones remain the fundamental pillar of Dominican foreign trade, contributing US$6,041.0 million, while national exports reached US$4,309.3 million, reflecting a growth of 23.8%.<\/p>\n\n<p>Regarding destination markets, the United States continues to lead the list with US$5,025.2 million. However, accelerated growth has been observed in markets such as Canada and Switzerland, which have significantly increased their intake of local products. Other key destinations include Haiti, China, and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Territorial impact: Leading provinces<\/h2>\n\n<p>Growth is not limited to the capital, but extends throughout the national territory. S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez leads the exporting provinces with US$1,893.2 million, followed closely by Santo Domingo, San Crist\u00f3bal, and Santiago.
