The action, led by agents of the National Police in close collaboration with the Public Ministry, resulted in the capture of 20 individuals linked to various criminal activities in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interventions were the result of rigorous intelligence work, which allowed for the identification of critical points where controlled substances were being sold and acts that disturbed public order and the tranquility of local residents were being committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operation results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the searches, law enforcement managed to seize a significant amount of illicit items and substances, among which the following stand out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prohibited substances:<\/strong> 70 portions of alleged marijuana, 43 of apparent cocaine, and seven doses of the substance known as TUSI.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Criminal equipment:<\/strong> Four scales used for weighing drugs and four slot machines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weaponry:<\/strong> Six bladed weapons, including knives and machetes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other items:<\/strong> Three cell phones, 21 impounded motorcycles, four bundles, and a sum of RD$750 in cash.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The National Police reaffirmed that these interventions are part of an ongoing prevention and surveillance agenda, designed to dismantle micro-trafficking networks and ensure a safe environment throughout the Ver\u00f3n-Punta Cana demarcation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the procedure, the 20 detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office for the corresponding legal purposes, while the authorities continue with the investigations to determine possible additional links in the intervened sectors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police operation in Ver\u00f3n-Punta Cana results in 20 arrests and seizure of illicit substances In a strategic deployment aimed at strengthening citizen security, authorities executed a broad preventive operation in various sectors of Ver\u00f3n-Punta Cana.
