Currently, the country has an ecosystem of approximately 35 museums, both public and private. According to the official, the goal is to continue increasing this number through strategic projects that strengthen the cultural offering nationwide.<\/p>\n\n

Among the strategies that have driven this outreach to the population, the minister highlighted the positive impact of events such as the Long Night of Museums, an initiative that facilitates access to the nation’s historical and heritage values.<\/p>\n\n
Dominican Republic hosts the 12th Ibero-American Meeting of Museums<\/h3>\n\n
These statements were made during the inauguration of the 12th Ibero-American Meeting of Museums, an event taking place at the Indotel Center for Digital Culture in Santo Domingo. The activity, which is being held from September 14 to 16, 2026, under the theme “Shared heritage, common futures,” positions the country as a regional benchmark in cultural management.<\/p>\n\n\n
