The team managed to prevail 89-86 against the Caribes de Santo Domingo Norte in the third and decisive game of the final series.<\/p>\n\n<p>Under the strategic leadership of Sports Immortal Matilde Guerrero, the Le\u00f1eras managed to come back in the series by winning two consecutive games, sealing a 2-1 aggregate score in this final stage. The venue that hosted this outcome was the Virgilio Fr\u00edas club sports center, located in Ensanche Isabelita, Santo Domingo East.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Total dominance of Los Mina<\/h3>\n\n<p>With this triumph, the Los Mina club reaffirms its hegemony in the Santo Domingo Province Basketball Association (Abasado), by winning both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s titles in the same season, under the management of its president, Sports Immortal V\u00edctor Hansen.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Featured performances<\/h3>\n\n<p>The attack of the new monarchs was led by the U22 reinforcement, Karla Aquino, who recorded a stellar performance with 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Alongside her, Naomi Cuevas contributed 22 points and seven rebounds, consolidating a lethal duo that combined for 50 total points. The collective effort was supported by:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nayelis Morillo: 17 points and nine assists.<\/li><li>Patricia Sosa: Double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.<\/li><li>Yanelis Do\u00f1\u00e9: 10 units.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The depth of our bench and our defensive intensity were key to turning the series around and reaching glory in this highly competitive tournament.<\/p><cite>Las Le\u00f1eras Coaching Staff<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<p>For the Caribes, Angie Hodge shone with a double-double of 37 points and 14 rebounds. Yadira Polanco also stood out with an impressive triple-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, while Brenda Tatis added 13 units to the cause.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tournament details<\/h3>\n\n<p>The 2026 edition of the Women&#8217;s TBS was dedicated to the Minister of Women, Gloria Reyes, and was played for the Seaboard &#8220;Clean Energy&#8221; Cup. The trophy presentation was led by William Cabral Lugo, president of Abasado, along with congresswoman Patricia N\u00fa\u00f1ez, who headed the Organizing Committee.
