During a swearing-in session, the PRM leader added new strategic support to her political project with an eye toward the 2028 elections, consolidating her presence in the southern region of the country.<\/p>\n\n<p>The event featured the support of prominent figures from the local business and political sectors, who formalized their backing of Mej\u00eda&#8217;s aspirations. Among the new allies are businessmen Ra\u00fal Ger\u00f3nimo Rossi, Ambiorix Rossi, and Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez, as well as municipal directors Cruz Santana, of El Naranjal, and Am\u00e9rico Ger\u00f3nimo, of El Pinar.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A growing project<\/h3>\n\n<p>The support for Carolina Mej\u00eda&#8217;s candidacy in Ocoa is broad and diverse, integrating both historical PRM leaders and figures from other political organizations. The list of collaborators includes:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deputy \u00c1ngel S\u00e1nchez (El Prende Estufa).<\/li>\n<li>Businessmen Maikel Gonz\u00e1lez and Kelvin Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/li>\n<li>Esmerlin D\u00edaz, provincial president of the party.<\/li>\n<li>Former leaders of the Fuerza del Pueblo, including Professor Freimin, Fiordaliza Casado, and Santica Ortiz.<\/li>\n<li>Local leaders Miguel Mej\u00eda (Babay), Jos\u00e9 Melo, and Suleika S\u00e1nchez.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It is you, the PRM members who are working with commitment, who will be part of our government in 2028.<\/p><cite>Carolina Mej\u00eda<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<p>During his speech, Mej\u00eda emphasized that his future administration will be based on joint work with the militants who are currently traveling the territory to strengthen his proposal. For their part, local leaders such as deputy \u00c1ngel S\u00e1nchez highlighted Mej\u00eda&#8217;s ability to listen, his accessibility, and his track record within the ruling party.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Direct contact agenda<\/h3>\n\n<p>In addition to the swearing-in ceremonies, Carolina Mej\u00eda&#8217;s agenda included institutional meetings with key figures of the province, such as mayors Fernando Castillo (San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa) and Pedro Castillo (Sabana Larga), as well as the provincial governor, Josefa Castillo.<\/p>\n\n<p>The presidential candidate also took a walking tour through the main municipality, where she maintained close contact with motorcycle taxi drivers, merchants, and citizens. During this walk, she visited various commercial establishments, including pharmacies and bakeries, to hear the residents&#8217; concerns firsthand.<\/p>\n\n<p>To conclude her visit, Mej\u00eda visited the San Jos\u00e9 parish alongside parish priest Anderson Perdomo and toured the Padre Luis Quinn Museum, a cultural space that honors the Canadian priest&#8217;s legacy in the Ocoa community.
