The measure responds to the non-compliance with Resolution 003-2026, which explicitly prohibits these types of units from driving in the left lane on the country&#8217;s highways.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic points intervened<\/h2>\n\n<p>The supervision day focused on six critical points in the Eastern region, identified by the authorities as areas with the highest incidence of accidents. The operations covered the following locations:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Juan Carlos Bridge, on Las Am\u00e9ricas Highway.<\/li><li>Juan Dolio Bridge, on the Eastern Highway (Autov\u00eda del Este).<\/li><li>La Romana Toll, on the Coral Highway (Autov\u00eda del Coral).<\/li><li>Coral 1 (Bayah\u00edbe) and Coral 2 (Hig\u00fcey) tolls.<\/li><li>Coral Highway (Autov\u00eda del Coral), on the section leading up to the Punta Cana roundabout.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clear rules for cargo transport<\/h2>\n\n<p>The current regulations are precise: trucks, tractor-trailers, and any heavy cargo vehicles are required to travel exclusively in the right lane. Drivers who ignore this provision and are caught driving in the left lane will face a financial penalty of RD$10,000.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>These actions are part of a comprehensive plan designed to ensure that traffic laws are respected, thereby reducing risk factors on our highways and roads.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expansion of measures at the national level<\/h2>\n\n<p>Although these interventions began in the eastern zone of the Dominican territory, the authorities of Alofoke Deportes have confirmed that the surveillance operations will be progressively extended to the entire country.
