This action, executed at the facilities of Resicla SRL, responds to the institutional strategy to combat illicit trade, safeguard intellectual property rights, and ensure a commercial environment based on transparency and fair competition in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n<p>Among the confiscated products that were destroyed are footwear, handbags, backpacks, glasses, toys, and belts, all of which were marketed using unauthorized trademarks protected by national laws.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commitment to legality and the formal market<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Director General of Customs, Nelson Arroyo, led the operation and emphasized that these measures are fundamental to strengthening confidence in formal trade operations. According to the head of the entity, customs controls have been optimized to prevent illegal goods from affecting the competitiveness of the local market.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">Today, we destroyed more than 253 thousand counterfeit goods seized by the General Directorate of Customs for violations of intellectual property rights.
