The Association of Sports Chroniclers of Santo Domingo (ACDSD) has confirmed the celebration of its prestigious awards gala “Acede\u00edsta Excellence, Chroniclers and Athletes of the Year.” The event, which seeks to honor the outstanding performance recorded during 2025, will take place next Tuesday, March 15.<\/p>\n\n
Am\u00e9rico Celado S., president of the entity, detailed that the meeting will take place in the La Mancha hall of the Barcel\u00f3 hotel (formerly Lina), starting at 12:00 noon. During this edition, the organization will recognize eight sports journalists and eight athletes who stood out for their excellence in their respective areas throughout the past year.<\/p>\n\n
The ACD Executive Council has decided to grant special recognition to three prominent figures in the fields of journalism and sports management. Communicators Osvaldo Rodr\u00edguez Suncar and Gustavo Rodr\u00edguez Dilon\u00e9 will be honored for their more than four decades of uninterrupted practice in sports reporting.<\/p>\n\n
Likewise, Jos\u00e9 P. Monegro, current media director, will receive an award for his outstanding work as president of the Organizing Committee of the Central American and Caribbean Games held in Dominican territory.<\/p>\n\n

The ceremony will not only be a space to recognize sports and journalistic talent, but will also feature a high-level artistic component. Maestro Ram\u00f3n Orlando Valoy will be in charge of enlivening the gala, taking advantage of the occasion to celebrate his five decades of trajectory in popular art.<\/p>\n\n
