The protesters emphasized the failure to fulfill previous commitments made by local and national authorities.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main demands of the organization<\/h3>\n\n<p>During the march, FALPO leaders presented a list of urgent needs that require immediate attention. Among the most critical points highlighted by the organization are:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The comprehensive paving of various sectors of the city.<\/li><li>The completion of infrastructure works that are currently stalled.<\/li><li>Definitive solutions to the deficiencies in the supply of drinking water and electricity.<\/li><li>Priority attention to the agrarian settlement, the Plaza de la Cultura, and the rehabilitation of the road connecting San Francisco de Macor\u00eds with R\u00edo San Juan.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p>The front&#8217;s leadership questioned the veracity of the statements offered by the authorities regarding progress on urban infrastructure works, describing them as insufficient in the face of the reality experienced by the municipality&#8217;s residents.<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The organization has ratified that it will firmly maintain its plan of action until it obtains concrete responses and real solutions to the demands of the affected communities.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next steps in the action plan<\/h3>\n\n<p>FALPO announced a new protest activity scheduled for next October 2nd. The gathering will take place at Duarte Park and will serve to commemorate the first anniversary of a key meeting they held with President Luis Abinader and other officials. In that meeting, commitments were established that, in the organization&#8217;s view, remain unfulfilled promises.<\/p>\n\n<p>It should be noted that, during this Wednesday&#8217;s mobilization, the Provincial Government facilities were militarized as a preventive measure in light of the protest.
