Rafael Devers shines and is named National League Player of the Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The stellar Dominican third baseman, Rafael Devers, has been awarded Player of the Week in the National League after exhibiting overwhelming offensive power with the San Francisco Giants. During the seven games evaluated, the slugger maintained a .385 batting average, connecting for 10 hits in 26 official at-bats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Devers’ consistency was remarkable, managing to hit at least one home run in five of the seven games played. In total, the Dominican accumulated six home runs, two doubles, and 13 RBIs, consolidating the great form he is in following the All-Star break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the All-Star Game, Devers has recorded a .993 OPS, with 16 home runs and 40 RBIs in 49 games, reaffirming his status in Major League Baseball.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This recognition marks the fifth time in the three-time All-Star’s career that he has received this weekly distinction, this being his second time in the senior circuit after having previously achieved it with the Boston Red Sox in the American League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carter Jensen stands out in the American League<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Kansas City Royals rookie catcher Carter Jensen was awarded the American League Player of the Week. Jensen had a brilliant performance, recording eight hits in 19 at-bats, including three doubles, a triple, and three home runs in just five games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • .421 batting average during the week.<\/li>
  • Six runs scored and six RBIs.<\/li>
  • Adds a total of 22 home runs in his debut season.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    With this achievement, Jensen becomes the first Kansas City player to be honored with this award since May, solidifying his position as one of the organization’s most promising young figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Baltimore Orioles center fielder Colton Cowser stole the headlines with a defensive play that is already considered one of the best of the season. On August 31, in a close duel against the Rockies, Cowser made a spectacular leap against the wall to rob Jake McCarthy of a home run, thus preserving the 2-1 lead for the Orioles in the ninth inning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
