Among the most common offenses recorded are running red lights, performing prohibited maneuvers, and the absence of a protective helmet, which are fundamental elements for the safety of drivers.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intervened strategic points<\/h3>\n\n<p>Control actions were concentrated at high-traffic intersections, where the incidence of traffic violations is higher. The points intervened included:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Winston Churchill Avenue at 27 de Febrero.<\/li><li>Defill\u00f3 Avenue at John F. Kennedy.<\/li><li>M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez Avenue at 27 de Febrero.<\/li><li>Leopoldo Navarro Avenue at 27 de Febrero.<\/li><li>M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez Avenue at John F. Kennedy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>These measures seek to organize traffic, enforce Law 63-17 on Mobility, Land Transportation, Traffic and Road Safety, and, above all, contribute to reducing the rate of deaths and injuries caused by road accidents.<\/p><cite>Juan Manuel M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda, Executive Director of INTRANT<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commitment to road safety<\/h3>\n\n<p>The authorities have been emphatic in pointing out that these controls will be constant and will be extended to other strategic sectors of Greater Santo Domingo.
