This decision was made after successfully completing the rigorous performance evaluation process to which the magistrates of the high court were subjected.<\/p>\n\n<p>With the conclusion of this evaluation cycle, the constitutional body has determined that the selection process to integrate new members into the Supreme Court of Justice will have a total of six vacancies available, marking a key step in the restructuring of the Dominican judicial system.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academic background and professional profile<\/h2>\n\n<p>Magistrate Montero possesses a solid academic background that supports his work in the high court:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Doctor of Law from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).<\/li><li>Master&#8217;s Degree in Democratic Society, State and Law from the University of the Basque Country.<\/li><li>Master&#8217;s Degree in Administrative Law and Municipal Management from the University of Castilla-La Mancha.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Since joining the Supreme Court of Justice in April 2019, Montero has played a fundamental role at the head of the First Chamber, an instance specialized in resolving civil and commercial matters that reach this high court.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commitment to ethics and judicial modernization<\/h2>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Justiniano Montero&#8217;s work transcends the courtroom, standing out for his constant contribution to judicial ethics and the implementation of new technologies in the service of justice.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>At the institutional level, the magistrate represents the Dominican Republic before the Ibero-American Commission on Judicial Ethics (CIEJ), where his role as a drafter of opinions has been key.
