One of the pillars of the exercise was the implementation of the Cell Broadcast system. This technology allows for the simultaneous broadcast of emergency messages to mobile devices located in a specific geographic area. During the test, more than 50% of the Dominican population was reached, confirming the effectiveness of this tool for issuing vital instructions and warnings in the face of phenomena such as hurricanes, earthquakes, or floods.<\/p>\n\n

The 9-1-1 System also introduced the VAPRE-M2, an Aerial Emergency First Response Vehicle. It is an autonomous deployment drone network capable of providing precise visual and thermal data from the scene of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n
