The opening match will feature a high-voltage clash between Club Mauricio B\u00e1ez and Club San Carlos, re-enacting last year&#8217;s grand final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A duel with history<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mauricians arrive at this appointment as the current champions, having dominated the previous final series with a resounding 4-1. With this triumph, Mauricio B\u00e1ez reached their 11th title, consolidating themselves as the winningest franchise in the history of the district&#8217;s superior basketball and establishing an impressive mark of three consecutive championships between 2023 and 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">This competition schedule was agreed upon and approved by the TBS District 2026 Organizing Committee, the Abadina Executive Committee, the technical management, and the eight participating superior clubs.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Edwin Castillo and Nelson Ram\u00edrez, executives of Abadina and the TBS 2026.<\/cite>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tournament details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition will feature the participation of eight clubs, divided into two groups for the regular season:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Group A:<\/strong> Mauricio B\u00e1ez, San L\u00e1zaro, Bameso and El Mill\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Group B:<\/strong> San Carlos, Rafael Barias, Los Prados and Huellas del Siglo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The tournament format includes a total of 45 matchdays and 66 games, which will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The regular season and playoffs are designed to conclude on November 20, allowing the schedule to avoid interfering with the international commitments of the national team, which must face the Fifth Qualifying Window for the 2027 Qatar World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The technical direction of the tournament falls once again into the hands of Ram\u00f3n Ceballos, who has the backing of the Dominican Basketball Federation.
