CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox stopped the Toronto Blue Jays’ winning streak, defeating them 2-1 on Wednesday. Pitcher Adrian Houser had an outstanding performance, pitching seven solid innings.<\/p>\n
Houser (5-2) secured his third consecutive victory. Edgar Quero drove in a run with a double and scored in a two-run fourth inning against Toronto’s starter, Eric Lauer (4-2). With this win, the White Sox prevented the Blue Jays from tying their franchise record.<\/p>\n
Houser allowed one run and seven hits, maintaining an ERA of 1.56 throughout his nine starts. The right-hander has given up two earned runs in 26 innings during his four outings at Rate Field.<\/p>\n
Grant Taylor managed to get around a Bo Bichette double with two outs in the eighth inning, forcing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to hit into an out.<\/p>\n
