This project, which is now available to the public, brings together unpublished works by 22 writers from the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Spain, and Venezuela. The central objective of this anthology is to transform literary creation into a channel of direct aid for those affected by the recent earthquakes that impacted Venezuelan territory.

Among the prominent figures who are part of this compendium is the Dominican singer-songwriter Cristian Allexis, who, along with other international authors, has contributed his talent to this humanitarian cause. The initiative seeks to raise funds through the royalties generated by the book’s sales, which will be donated in their entirety to the Resistencia Médica foundation.

Commitment to the Medical Resistance foundation

The beneficiary organization, led by the Venezuelan María Alejandra Hawke, has a track record of more than ten years focused on providing health services and nutritional assistance to vulnerable communities. After the double earthquake that affected the country, the foundation has redoubled its efforts to address the urgent needs of the survivors.

The project was driven by a multicultural team composed of the Spaniard Salvador Luzzy, the Dominican Karen Corniel, and the Venezuelans Leonel Flores and Jessi Freitez Guedez, who saw in literature a way to extend a helping hand beyond geographical borders.

We hope to reach many people and also encourage reading.
Leonel Flores, project promoter

A tribute to resilience

Leonel Flores has named the participating authors “The Literary Moles” (“Los Topos Literarios”).
