This initiative seeks to equip young Dominicans with critical skills to successfully face the challenges of the digital economy.<\/p>\n\n<p>Beneficiaries will have the opportunity to specialize in more than 14 academic programs designed under international standards. Among the available areas of study are:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Artificial intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Data science<\/li>\n<li>Cybersecurity<\/li>\n<li>Mechatronics<\/li>\n<li>Multimedia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training connected to the industry<\/h3>\n\n<p>Juan Matos, Vice Rector of Extension and Social Development at ITLA, highlighted that the essence of these programs lies in their close connection to the real work environment. According to the official, the institution&#8217;s educational model ensures that what students learn in the classrooms is exactly what they will find when they join their jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">That is where ITLA has a great social impact, because what students see in the classroom is what they will find at work.<\/p>\n<cite>Juan Matos, Vice-Rector of Extension and Social Development at ITLA<\/cite>\n\n\n<p>The success of this approach is evidenced by the high job placement rate of its students, many of whom manage to get employed before finishing their training. ITLA graduates today are part of the staff at world-renowned corporations such as Google, Microsoft, and Fortinet.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Greater female participation and strategic alliances<\/h3>\n\n<p>A relevant fact from this day was the increase in women&#8217;s participation in technical careers. The rector of ITLA, Jimmy Rosario Bernard, reported that 47% of the scholarships were awarded to women, highlighting a growing interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines.<\/p>\n\n<p>The technology center maintains strategic alliances with industry giants such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Microsoft.
