The main objective of this extension is to have the necessary time to complete pending procedural steps, as well as to finalize the exhaustive analysis of the documentation collected during the operations carried out within the framework of the investigations against the structure that allegedly operated to the detriment of state funds.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible new charges<\/h3>\n\n<p>Wilson Camacho, head of the Public Ministry&#8217;s Prosecution Office, has made it clear that the process could take a new direction. According to the official, as investigations progress, there is a real possibility that new charges will be filed and more people will be linked to the case, thus expanding the scope of the formal indictment that the Public Ministry is preparing to file.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">The investigation points to a structure that, according to the preliminary indictment, allegedly caused damages exceeding RD$15 billion to the Dominican State through a complex network of illicit operations.<\/p>\n<cite>Alofoke Deportes<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details of the case file and those involved<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Cobra case keeps Santiago Marcelo Hazim, former director of SeNaSa, under scrutiny, as he is listed as the primary suspect. Along with him, the file includes the following individuals:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Gustavo Enrique Messina Cruz<\/li><li>Germ\u00e1n Rafael Robles Qui\u00f1ones<\/li><li>Francisco Iv\u00e1n Minaya P\u00e9rez<\/li><li>Rafael Luis Mart\u00ednez Hazim<\/li><li>Ram\u00f3n Alan Speakler Mateo<\/li><li>Ada Ledesma Ubiera<\/li><li>Eduardo Read Estrella<\/li><li>Cinty Acosta Senci\u00f3n<\/li><li>Heidi Mariela Pineda Perdomo<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p>The defendants, who have been subject to coercive measures since December 2025, are charged with various criminal offenses, including collusion of officials, malfeasance, criminal association, bribery, fraud against the State, embezzlement, document forgery, and money laundering.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Context of the hearing<\/h3>\n\n<p>This judicial session comes after a previous postponement, originally scheduled for August 19, which was delayed due to the death of the father of one of the defense attorneys.
