The Banreservas Cultural Center in Santiago opened its doors to the exhibition \u201cOrganic and Casual,\u201d a retrospective that pays tribute to the prolific career of Dominican visual artist Persio Checo. The exhibition offers a journey through more than 40 years of creation, highlighting the evolution of a fundamental reference of the 80s Generation in the country.<\/p>\n\n
The exhibition stands out for its deep connection to nature, the marine environment, and the identity of R\u00edo San Juan, the artist’s place of origin. Through a careful selection of paintings and sculptures, Checo manages to integrate elements such as wood, fabric, and masonite to bring to life organic forms that evoke both the Caribbean landscape and the ancestral Ta\u00edno heritage.<\/p>\n\n
