The leader positively valued the willingness to engage in dialogue shown by the official, describing it as a fundamental step to jointly address the challenges facing the transportation system in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n<p>According to S\u00e1nchez, M\u00e9ndez&#8217;s openness to listening to the concerns and proposals of the various stakeholders in the sector creates a favorable scenario for implementing consensus-based solutions that benefit drivers, users, and society as a whole.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commitment to the fare rate<\/h3>\n\n<p>During a recent meeting between the leaders of the G-12 bloc and the authorities of INTRANT, various topics of national interest were discussed. One of the most prominent points was the confirmation by the transport operators to keep the fare unchanged, with the aim of avoiding further economic burdens on the citizenry.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">We value that the new director of Intrant, Juan Manuel M\u00e9ndez, has shown an open attitude to dialogue with transport operators. The main objective is to reach agreements that allow for the improvement of working conditions, the enhancement of service quality, and the guarantee of greater road safety on the country&#8217;s highways.<\/p>\n\n<p>Juan Manuel M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda, who also leads the Emergency Operations Center (COE), was appointed to the position by President Luis Abinader on August 19, 2026.
