This event, focused on promoting environmental awareness and supporting families in the capital, will feature a robust security deployment to ensure the well-being of all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logistics and enhanced security<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>By order of Mayor Carolina Mej\u00eda, a team of approximately 400 uniformed personnel from the National Police, the Army, the Air Force, Ciutran, the Civil Defense, the Red Cross, and the DAEH has been coordinated. With the goal of ensuring a safe day, the operation will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A mobile hospital and eight ambulances available.<\/li>\n<li>Six firefighting units.<\/li>\n<li>A care station for lost children.<\/li>\n<li>Constant monitoring through two mobile units with cameras and aerial surveillance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The route, which this year will not include George Washington Avenue (malec\u00f3n), will begin on Paul Harris Street, continuing along Horacio Vicioso and Juan de Dios V. Sim\u00f3. For greater convenience, restrooms, six hydration stations, and tent tunnels have been installed to protect citizens from sun exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to participate and benefits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The activity will take place at the Municipal Palace from 8:00 in the morning to 12:00 at noon. To participate, it is an essential requirement to present an identity card confirming residence in the National District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>For the delivery of one thousand small plastic bottles, citizens will receive a backpack equipped with an electronic tablet and a thermos. A maximum limit of two backpacks per ID presented has been established.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the implementation of the plastic exchange programs driven by Carolina Mej\u00eda&#8217;s administration, more than 37 million plastic bottles have been removed from the country&#8217;s streets and rivers, consolidating this event as the most important environmental awareness movement in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This effort is made possible thanks to the public-private partnership with institutions such as the Ministry of Education, Banco Popular, Propagas Foundation, Grupo Ramos, Industrias Bison\u00f3, Constructora Bison\u00f3, Fiducorp, Rica, Susaeta, Industrias San Miguel, Farmacias GBC, Caf\u00e9 Santo Domingo, McDonald\u2019s, Seaboard, and Planeta Azul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything ready for the third edition of Plastics for School Supplies in the National District The National District City Hall has finalized preparations to celebrate this Saturday, August 29, the third edition of its successful &#8220;Plastics for School Supplies&#8221; initiative.
