The main objective of this ceremony is to recognize the excellence, commitment, and significant contributions of various personalities and institutions to the development of culture, communication, education, and social progress in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marivell Contreras, president of the institution, highlighted the relevance of this award for the entity: &#8220;For Acroarte, these awards represent an unavoidable commitment to Dominican society, honoring communication professionals, as well as institutions and figures from the business sector who drive cultural and professional growth in our country,&#8221; she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Honored personalities and institutions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this fifteenth edition, the Journalism Merit Award will distinguish outstanding figures for their career and contribution to the country:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Frank Rainieri:<\/strong> Founder of Grupo Puntacana, recognized for his five decades of business work, his contributions to tourism, environmental preservation, and his commitment to community development through the Grupo Puntacana Foundation.<\/li><li><strong>Jos\u00e9 P. Monegro:<\/strong> Director of the newspaper El D\u00eda, he will be honored for a journalistic career characterized by rigor, ethics, and constant work in training new generations from the newsrooms, which began in 1989.<\/li><li><strong>Jos\u00e9 Miguel Bonetti Dubreil:<\/strong> Businessman distinguished for his impact on sports, the film and television industry, as well as his outstanding work in social responsibility through projects such as the &#8220;Caminantes por la vida&#8221; Foundation.<\/li><li><strong>Escuela Nacional de Locuci\u00f3n Profesor Otto Rivera:<\/strong> This iconic institution will receive special recognition upon reaching 60 years of training voice and communication professionals, serving as a fundamental pillar in the teaching of broadcasting in the nation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The award, created in 2012 during the administration of M\u00e1ximo Jim\u00e9nez, seeks to preserve and strengthen the memory of those who have dedicated their lives to the defense and dissemination of Dominican arts and culture.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special recognitions at the gala<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the honorees in the business and educational fields, the gala will dedicate a space to honor Juan T.H. for his outstanding career.
