The main purpose of this initiative was to equip citizens with key tools to foster a culture of peace and improve the management of adverse situations within their sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting, held at Eugenio de Jes\u00fas Marcano Park, featured the active participation of representatives from various neighborhood associations, who are fundamental pillars for social progress and community organization in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dialogue as a pillar of development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Modesto Guzm\u00e1n, head of the DGDC, emphasized that the growth of any community is intrinsically linked to the ability of its inhabitants to engage in constructive dialogue. According to Guzm\u00e1n, conflict management should not be seen as an obstacle, but as an opportunity to apply intelligence and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>From the General Directorate of Community Development, we believe that true development begins when a community has men and women willing to listen, to dialogue, to work together, and to seek solutions to common problems; it is natural for conflicts to exist; what is important is to learn to manage them with intelligence, respect, and sensitivity.<\/p>\n<cite>Modesto Guzm\u00e1n, director of the DGDC<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comprehensive training for citizens<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The training session was led by clinical psychologist Eladio Hern\u00e1ndez, who, together with a team of behavioral professionals, instructed the attendees in critical areas such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Community mediation techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Development of emotional intelligence and empathy.<\/li>\n<li>Strategies for consensus building.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening local leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Institutional presence and support for the community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by provincial authorities and representatives of various entities, including Governor Pura Casilla, General Antonio del Carmen de los Santos of the National Police, and Francia Sosa, president of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations.
