In addition, he ranked in the top ten in field goal percentage allowed as a defender contesting layups and dunks, among players who contested 250 or more shots.<\/p>\n<p>His averages were 6.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 56 games.<\/p>\n<p>Hayes started in the first four games of the playoff series that the Lakers lost 4-1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but never played more than 10 minutes in any of the remaining games and did not participate in the fifth game.<\/p>\n<p>Now, his role will be as Ayton&#8217;s substitute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free agent center Jaxson Hayes has agreed to sign a one-year contract and return to the Los Angeles Lakers.
